I’m In! (I Will Worship Weekly)-Part 1

I Will Worship Weekly

(I’m In — Part 1)

PRIMARY PASSAGE

Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

(Hebrews 10:22–25 NIV84)

BULLETIN OUTLINE

I. Why Is Weekly Worship Important?

·       Follow the Example of Jesus (Luke 4:16)

o   Establishing unshakeable spiritual habits and patterns for the family.

·       Follow the Example of the Early Church (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:1–2)

o   Gathering on the first day of every week to celebrate the Resurrection.

·       Accountability and Fellowship (Hebrews 13:17)

o   Stepping under godly spiritual protection versus isolating in drift.

·       An Act of Obedience (Hebrews 10:25; Genesis 22:5)

o   Choosing faithful obedience even when emotion has not caught up.

·       Express Appreciation (2 Samuel 24:24)

o   Ascribing worth to the Savior rather than approaching church as a consumer.

·       Inspiration and Comfort (Hebrews 12:1)

o   Receiving healing ointment alongside the living cloud of witnesses.

II. How Do We Worship Weekly?

·       Through Our Preparation (Hebrews 10:22; Acts 20:9)

o   Arriving spiritually alert, rested, and ready for God's presence.

·       Through Our Participation (Psalm 95:6; 2 Samuel 24:24)

o   Engaging actively in singing, communion, giving, and the Word.

·       Through Our Practice (Romans 12:1; Revelation 4:8)

o   Living Monday through Saturday as sacrificial worshipers of Christ.

Conclusion: Reaffirming the Commitment: Saying with conviction: “I'm In!”
